Voluntary Services Unit (VSU)
The Voluntary Services Unit is at the heart of our community spirit. Pupils from our senior schools embrace the chance to volunteer, giving their time and energy to a wide range of local projects.
They work with primary schools, helping younger children with reading and creative activities such as art and crafts. Others visit local care homes to provide companionship and support.
Each year, pupils also select a charity to champion, leading fundraising events such as bake sales or clothing collections for homeless charities. These projects give pupils the chance to connect with others, develop empathy, and see the positive impact of their efforts first-hand.

Musical Influence
Music is a wonderful way to bring people together, and our pupils share their talents generously with the local community.
They perform at much-loved events such as the Christmas Lights Switch On in Loughborough and the opening of the Loughborough Fair. Our free lunchtime concert series, Tasting Notes, held at All Saints Parish Church, showcases young scholars from Loughborough Grammar School and Loughborough High School and is open to everyone to enjoy.
We also partner with local state schools, offering workshops, assemblies and concerts that make music accessible and inspiring for young people across the community.
Sporting Impact
Our sporting facilities, including the Parkin multi-games centre, Quorn playing fields, and our cricket and hockey pitches, are used not only by our pupils but also by the wider community. Local clubs and groups regularly use our grounds, and facilities are available for hire to ensure even more people can enjoy them.
We also host professional athletes through our partnership with Loughborough University Sport, including the Loughborough Lightning Netball team and the Leicester Riders Basketball team. Their presence provides inspiration and helps connect our pupils and community to sport at the highest level.

Community Engagement
As proud members of the local community in Loughborough, Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands, our staff and pupils regularly take part in local events. Our CCF pupils play an integral role in the Remembrance Day commemorations, while our musical ensembles perform at the Loughborough Christmas Lights Switch On. We also run community outreach programmes with local schools, such as the Big Sing, where children in Years 5 and 6 from across Leicestershire perform alongside a live band.
