1 in 5 grades were awarded A*, over half were A* or A and 81% were A*-B. These outstanding results confirm once again LHS’ place as one of the leading academic girls’ schools in the United Kingdom.  

In addition to their A Levels, one quarter of the year group undertook the EPQ, a research qualification worth half an A Level where pupils typically complete a 5,000-word research project of their choice. We are as proud of this love of learning and commitment to research from our girls, as well as their exceptional outcomes.  

Girls have been offered a range of courses including Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Architecture, university apprenticeships with leading national firms and a kaleidoscope of course choices. They move on to leading institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, London universities, Drama and Music Schools. We are incredibly proud of all our girls’ achievements.

Loughborough High School has recently been shortlisted for Independent Girls’ School of the Year. As the oldest academic girls’ school in the UK, the High School celebrates its 175th Year in 2025.
