The 2022 Cupcake Case Terminal Velocity Challenge

Year 10 have been investigating the 2022 Cup-Cake Case Terminal Velocity Challenge! Armed with paper cup-cake cases, rulers and iPads, pupils have been tasked to create a short video that demonstrates the effects of different air resistances leading to different terminal velocities.

They have been experimenting with screwed up, normal shaped and deformed paper cases and using their creativity to discover how best to gather the data and create their video. There will be a prize awarded for the best video accompanied by a good Physics explanation.
