The aim of the PSHCE programme, together with the rest of the curriculum, is to enable pupils to become confident, balanced and informed members of the community. PSHCE is delivered by a specialist teacher, enhanced by outside agencies and speakers where appropriate.

All pupils from Year 7 to Year 13 study PSHCE. The spiral curriculum aims to present information to the pupils at a level appropriate to their age, encouraging self-expression and the ability to make responsible and positive decisions about issues affecting them. Examples of topics covered are relationships, study skills, careers and preparation for higher education. The pupils are also given an introduction to finance to develop their financial capability and understanding of the economy which ranges from maximising their pocket money in Year 7 to learning how to manage their expenses at university in Year 13.
