Art tuition in Years 7 and 8 provides the opportunity for pupils to observe and record as well as develop their understanding of Art History in a practical context.

Hear from Karen Murphy

Art is one of the options available in Year 9 when more time is dedicated to theoretical and cultural studies and refining skills. Fine Art is offered at GCSE and Sixth Form and these courses involve a rich and diverse curriculum of personal research projects which teach art criticism and encourage conceptual thinking.

"Discipline in art is a fundamental struggle to understand oneself, as much as to understand what one is drawing"

Henry Moore
