Double Charity Day

Double Charity Day featured image

On Friday 24 September, LHS held a double charity day with students coming in non-school uniform to raise money for the Anthony Nolan trust, which is a charity that makes lifesaving connections between patients in need and incredible strangers ready to donate their stem cells. This is a new charity for LHS but the students agree it is such a great cause. The fundraising was a joint effort with Schools across Loughborough Schools Foundation joining in.

The High School also had a Macmillan coffee morning to raise money for this amazing charity that funds research and care for those impacted by this terrible disease. There was a cake sale organised by Year 13 students who the baked cakes and manned the stalls. They were so delicious that there was students queuing out of the hall ready to purchase cakes and drinks.

It was really lovely to see this kind of fund raising activity again.
