Cycle Challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research
Two Year 10 girls (Samia and Francesca) are completing a cycling challenge in order to raise funds for cancer research and to support their friend, Amy, also in Year 10, who has leukaemia. Amy is awaiting a bone marrow transplant and so we would like to encourage families to support Samia and Francesca in their fundraising efforts to raise £1,000 and to consider being a bone marrow donor for Amy.
Samia and Francesca said;
“We are aiming to cycle 200 miles in 20 days in order to raise money for cancer research. We are doing this because 1 in 2 people in their lifetime are impacted with cancer and it’s a charity that’s very close to our hearts as a couple of years ago our close friend was diagnosed with leukaemia and currently having chemotherapy.”
