Year 8 Fundraising for Brainstrust

Year 8 were delighted to welcome representatives of the Brainstrust charity, Dr Hulya Oztel and Ms Jodie Eveleigh, to their Year assembly on Monday 4 March. The vision of the charity is “for everyone with a brain tumour to feel less afraid, less alone and more in control.”

Year 8 raised an amazing sum of £948.67 and this money will go directly to supporting people with brain tumours and their families. The boys pulled off this fantastic achievement with an inter-form “bake-off” competition which produced incredible cakes and sweet treats, and created keen competition between the forms. Huge thanks go to the boys and their families for all their wonderful bakes. An excellent outcome – congratulations to all involved.
