The annual alumni association’s Oxbridge Dinner took place this week at Somerville College, Oxford. They were generous enough to allow some of our aspirational Year 12 students to attend to find out a little more about the Oxbridge application process from Old Boys and Girls who had been through it themselves. The Cantilena and Consort Choirs opened the evening with a beautiful Evensong in the College Chapel, with two of our Year 12s accompanying them on the organ. Following a drinks reception, the boys were treated to a three-course meal at this black tie event, and got to grill our Old Loughburians for any information they could about the Oxbridge process and studying at university. We remain indebted to the Development Office and Loughburians’ alumni association (@loughburians) for allowing our boys to attend; they all appreciated this excellent opportunity, and the fabulous meal that went with it!
