Last weekend, 14 of the CCF RAF cadets took part in the National Royal Air Squadron Trophy at RAF Halton, a competition which tests their individual ability in disciplines such as air recognition, first aid, general knowledge, and teamwork.

We are proud to announce that Loughborough Grammar School achieved the outstanding result of 2nd place in the UK!

Our student’s practice, determination, and commitment has led to this wonderful result. The cadets had been preparing since early October with weekly practices every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We commend them for their hard work that has now been rewarded.

LCpl Blain stated ‘The feeling that the team and I had when our name was read out for 2nd place was indescribable! After keeping composure until dismissal, we all hugged one another in celebration. Personally, I would say that if my heart had stopped in that moment, our first aid team would have been there for me!’
