Loughborough Schools Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with Premier League football club Leicester City (LCFC) as part of the club’s official Community Partner programme.

The new partnership neatly aligns with the Foundation’s onus on developing sporting talent. Loughborough Schools Sport Department has recently expanded its elite sports programme, offering bespoke sports training and support for young athletes across our schools who aspire to carve out a career in competitive sport. A Sports Scholarship programme has also been launched this year, providing a wealth of benefits to high performing athletes including access to coaching and facilities at Loughborough University.

With a strong reputation for success across a variety of sports, the Foundation’s partnership with the recently promoted 2023/2024 Championship winners will inspire values of hard work, perseverance, and community involvement in pupils passionate about sport, both on and off the field.

Russell Langley, External Engagement Director at Loughborough Schools Foundation shared his enthusiasm for the partnership. “Football is already well-embedded within the sporting fabric of our schools with over 200 girls and boys involved in training and matches each week, making our partnership with Leicester City a natural fit. Association with our local Premier League club will undoubtedly provide inspiration to our aspiring stars of the future.

“It also builds on other partnerships and collaborations we are developing, which put the Foundation firmly at the forefront of regional developments and achievements. We are proud to be part of the Leicester and Leicestershire community and look forward to continuing to play an active role in the region’s ongoing growth and success.”
