The School is celebrating a rise in academic success. At A Level in 2018, almost half of all grades were at A* or A, and 41 boys (over a third of the year group) received 3 A grades or better.

Headmaster, Duncan Byrne, said “I am absolutely delighted by the number of Oxbridge places that have been offered to our students. The variety of subjects also demonstrates the breadth of interests and high standard of teaching at LGS in many disciplines, for example, this is the second year in a row that an LGS student has received an offer to read Classics at Trinity College. At a time when competition for places is very strong, we are very pleased to have seen an increase in the number of Oxbridge offers being received and congratulate all the boys on their well-deserved success.”
