Classics Trip to Greece

At the beginning of April, 40 pupils from Loughborough Grammar and High Schools visited many amazing sites across mainland Greece, supported by very keen and enthusiastic teaching staff. Upon arrival, at sunset, they visited the temple of Apollo at Sounion with spectacular picture-postcard views. They then spent two days in Athens looking around the Acropolis, Agora and immersing themselves into Greek culture. The next, stormy, day was the visit to the sanctuary and oracle of Apollo in Delphi. The last day was spent walking around the sites of Epidaurus, Tiryns and Mycenae with its Cyclopean walls. All the pupils were impeccably behaved and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
