Biology Healthy Ageing Competition

Congratulations to Martin and Ahmed (Year 8), Benedict, Joony, Nathan, Abdulrahman, Darius, and Harvey (Year 9), who were all shortlisted for the final of the Royal Society of Biology Healthy Ageing competition (Junior Section) and to Ben (Year 12) who was shortlisted for the Senior section final. The boys in the Junior section made some superb posters and models highlighting different aspects of ageing, and Ben wrote an academic essay “Healthy ageing and how arthritis can affect it” for the Senior section.

On Saturday 2 March, the boys presented and defended their posters, models and essay to a team of experts at Leicester University, as well as participating in a series of workshops and lectures. They were all highly impressive in the confident, enthusiastic and intelligent way they defended their work. The winning entries will be on display in Biology.
