Dr Christopher Barnett was a Lecturer in Economics at Brunel University, Head of History at Bradfield College, and Senior Deputy Head at Dauntsey’s School. As Headmaster, he led Whitgift, one of the country’s finest day and boarding schools for boys, with distinction for twenty-six years. He lives in Worcestershire, is a Governor and Chair of Education at Bromsgrove School in the West Midlands, and serves on the Boards of the English Symphony Orchestra and the Life Skills Haiti Foundation.

His outstanding record as an educationalist has been widely recognised. Dr Barnett’s wealth of experience is of value to the Foundation as a whole, and his commitment in leading the Grammar School during this academic year will ensure the best possible preparation for the incoming Head, Dr Daniel Koch, who is set to take up his post in September 2022.
