U9 Foremarke Hockey Festival

On Saturday a large squad of year 4 girls attended the annual Foremarke Hall Hockey Festival. Despite a dull and cloudy day the girls were in fabulous spirits and so excited at the prospect of playing lots of hockey. The Festival took the format of a round robin competition with the girls playing a total of 7 matches throughout the afternoon. During the afternoon the girls positional and tactical understanding developed greatly, with many of the girls trying out different positions and learning how important it is to defend as a team. They tackled tirelessly and showed great perseverance in all of their matches.  They should be commended on their excellent team spirit which was evident when they scored and the high fives they shared, their smiles were infectious! A lovely afternoon where we were so grateful for the support from our spectators, Mrs McGinty and Mr Smail. Well done girls, we look forward to see how you progress over the season.
