U11 In2Hockey County Finals

The ‘A’ squad travelled to Leicester Grammar in fine spirits and great anticipation of a fabulous afternoon of hockey. Thoroughly warmed up and focused, the first match was against Leicester Grammar School. The girls moved the ball well and played some wonderful passes to create numerous opportunities that were duly taken and gave a final result of 7-0. On into the second match against Ratcliffe which proved to be a much more challenging game. Both teams worked tremendously hard and much of the play took place in and around a very tight midfield. Despite all the girls incredibly hard work it was Ratcliffe who came out as on top, winning by the tightest of margins from a well taken goal. Undeterred the girls went into the final game against Grace Dieu with heads held high and a steely determination to secure a win that would take them through to the Regional Finals at Cannock. Everyone playing fantastically well and they were duly credited with a resounding 8-0 win. This placed the team as well deserved Runners Up and the opportunity to represent Leicestershire next week.
