U11 Girls Hockey vs Spratton Hall

U11 Girls Hockey vs Spratton Hall featured image

This Wednesday saw the U11 A and B squads venturing south to play fixtures against Spratton Hall. The A team match was first and from the start was played at a fast pace where the girls used the ball to do the work. Playing in different positions to gain further understanding of the various roles, the girls really stretched the space and transitioned the play to great effect. A well deserved win was the outcome and a performance on which the team can continue to build. The B team set out a similar stall and, within the first few minutes of the game, created numerous goal scoring opportunities. However, it was Spratton who broke the dead lock with a well taken shot. Not to be deterred, the girls set out to get the game back on level terms and it was not long before some excellent team passing resulted in the equaliser. This spurred the girls on and raised their confidence to go on and score a further two goals giving them a well deserved victory too. Many thanks to our wonderful parental support and to Ms Nicol for umpiring.
