U11 Girls’ Foremarke Tournament

On a blustery but mild afternoon the U11 girls travelled to Foremarke to play in their annual tournament. A mixture of six school and club teams were involved and the competition was played in competitive yet friendly spirit. The format was a round robin and allowed Fairfield the opportunity to prepare for the forthcoming National Finals. Some of the matches were quite tight and the girls really had to work hard to secure a result. However, their tenacity and competitive edge saw them through and I am delighted to report they came out as Winners. Huge congratulations to the squad and many thanks to our wonderful parents on the sidelines who were so encouraging in their support of the girls, it was a great afternoon of hockey..
