Geography at Fairfield continues to thrive with our children covering an extensive range of topics and developing a superb level of map skills. We aim to make learning geography an interesting and enjoyable experience for all our children and to nurture within them an understanding of the interdependence of places and people and to recognise the need for responsible actions towards the earth and its population.
The curriculum is based upon the National Curriculum schemes of work but is adapted and extended to challenge the children at Fairfield.
A host of differing countries, environments, cultures and other geographical themes are studied. These include Kenya in Year 2, Weather around the World in Year 3, India in Year 4, Water and Tourism in Year 5 and Natural Disasters in Year 6.
