Twelve pupils from Fairfield had the chance to show off their swimming skills in London last month at the World School Games swimming event.

The competition included over twenty other schools from all corners of the globe including Spain, Africa and the Middle East, and took place at The London Aquatic Centre which was home to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The pupils did the school proud at the two-day event and produced some fabulous performances, beating many personal bests and reaching the finals of the 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke and 100m Butterfly.

Amongst these performances were real stories of determination, overcoming fears and the children all swimming their hearts out!
