Loughborough Schools Foundation Choir

On two Wednesdays in a row, choral evensong at Leicester Cathedral was sung by choirs from Loughborough Schools Foundation. On 19 June, the girls from Cantamus sang the responses by David Halls, Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in G by Sumsion and A Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter. On 26 June, the boys from Burton Choristers sang the responses by Peter Nardone, Richard Shephard’s Unison Service and the anthem Ex Ore Innocentium, by John Ireland. The Burton Choristers were confidently accompanied by Y11 organist and Grammar School Music Scholar, Edward.

We are grateful to Leicester Cathedral for the opportunities we have been given, and look forward to returning with the choirs next year.
