On Tuesday 10 March Fairfield were delighted to host the In2Hockey County Finals. Whilst the weather promised sunshine and temperatures in double figures, it turned out to be rather blustery and wet but this didn’t impact on the spirit or determination of our U11 boys and girls. The tournament involved teams from Grace Dieu, Ratcliffe College, Leicester Grammar and Loughborough Grammar School. All the teams played so well and it was wonderful to see such a high standard of hockey on display from all the players involved. In the boys competition the team secured two wins and a loss to become Runners-up whilst the girls won all three matches to become County Champions. Both teams now go forward to represent Leicestershire in the Midlands Regional Finals on Wednesday 25 March at Aldersley Stadium in Wolverhampton. We are very proud of them and wish them the very best of luck! As ever, many thanks to our fantastic parent for such wonderful support.
