The first three weeks of the Loughborough Schools Foundation Holiday Courses have got off to a flying start. There has been a multitude of different activities across the three weeks for Pre-Prep and Prep children both inside and outside of the Foundation.

In Summer Club, the children have been busy making use of the cooking room and have created a variety of delicious treats such as ice lollies. They thoroughly enjoyed making the most of the heatwave and took part in several water fights to cool off, alongside painting and role playing as Pirates on the pirate ship! The cooler weeks saw the children celebrate the beginning of the Olympic Games in Tokyo by creating their own Olympic torches and participating in running races followed by some pampering with a ‘hair salon’ and ‘nail bar’.

Tennis and Dodgeball were some of the sports played by the Prep children in the Multi-Activity Club, who also participated in their own water fight to cool down in the extreme temperatures and spent some time exploring the climbing apparatus alongside baking some yummy looking chocolate muffins!

Our Football Club has proved popular for both Pre-Prep and Prep children. Each age group has had their own dedicated course suitable for their ages and skills and they have spent many hours on the pitch developing and learning new skills, and of course, scoring lots of goals.

And finally, the Dance club have been busy creating and practising a routine to Disney’s Toy Story – You’ve Got a Friend in Me.

With so many fun-filled activities we are looking forward to seeing what the next three weeks brings.
