The last half-term of 2024 has been full of fun, learning and exciting activities for Fairfield pupils, including a celebration of the festive season with all our pupils participating in Christmas productions or carol services at the end of term. Exploring the Scholastic Book Fair

We had the wonderful opportunity to host the Scholastic Book Fair this term. Displayed in the Atrium, children across all our year groups enjoyed the chance to explore the fair, browse the books and buy a story of their choice!

Eco Activities

Year 3 pupils enjoyed a morning of eco activities in the last week of term, learning all about renewable energy. Pupils were challenged to find the best spot on the School field to put a wind turbine and, working in teams, the children chose their spot before measuring the wind to find out if they were right!

The Eco Club have also been finding inventive ways to recycle by holding their own Sustainability Stall at our recent Christmas Fayre; the stall sold pre-loved Christmas jumpers, books, games & crisp packet key rings made by the club!

Christmas Productions and Carol Services

Kindergarten, Reception and Years 1&2 all performed their Christmas Productions to parents in the first week of December. With lots of lines to remember, actions to perform and songs to sing and dance to, all children should be very proud of their performances!

Pupils from Years 3 to 6 all took part in a beautiful carol service at Loughborough Parish Church, in front of their friends and family. The children sang beautifully with a stunning setting behind them and everyone enjoyed getting into the festive spirit.
