Last week Year 3 invited their Grandparents and other family visitors to commemorate Remembrance, a service which included the entire school. After the Act of Remembrance Service, Grandparents joined the Year 3 children in an assembly to continue their learning about WW1.

Initially, it was the Grandparents being treated to a morning of wartime songs sung by the children, but soon the two generations were both joining in with a big sing-a-long. After the concert conducted by Mr Morris, Grandparents spent time with the children sharing their memories of childhood and life experiences during the war. The children were eager to hear about their tales, especially as manyGrandparents brought in their personal artefacts from the war, such as medals, uniforms and photos.
