Our ambition in Sport is simple. Provide a positive experience, a sense of belonging and a feeling of togetherness for all children. At Fairfield, we are intentional about the environment that can promote our ambitions.

The values of HEAT (Humility, Empathy, Adaptability and Togetherness) are bought to life and lived through our various sporting teams and children have lots of opportunities to develop these. Regular competition provides memories that can last a lifetime and is the perfect preparation as they move to the senior schools. We not only strive to develop their sporting skills but also their character and ability to have a positive impact on the people around them.

We are lucky to have access to some wonderful coaches, including Loughborough University students, international athletes and outstanding educators. This mix of experience coupled with a passion to provide positive experiences provides a great start in Sport for our children. Links to local clubs and partnerships with the Leicester Riders allow children to continue pursuing what they are passionate about outside of school.

Class, House and Inter School competitions provide opportunities for children to strive and thrive together, understanding what it means to win well and lose well, learning from all the experiences that these situations will bring. Intentional focus on process goals by staff allow the children to feel safe enough to express themselves and embrace the challenge that competitive sport can bring.

Whatever the ability, your child will have an experience of feeling valued and part of something bigger than themselves.

The shared sports facilities are excellent and allow for the provision of a wide variety of sports. The Foundation is always looking to develop and improve the facilities and the introduction of the Grant Sutcliffe Astro turf and the Parkin Sports Hall in 2019, are testament to this. The Foundation is increasing the variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities and we hope that this in turn will increase the number of pupils across the Foundation playing representative sport. We are delighted to be developing strong links with British Triathlon and the Lawn Tennis Association as well as engaging with Loughborough University through their research and sport specific programmes. The Foundation plans to develop links and relationships with a number of sporting agencies in the near future.
