What a week Year 1 and 2 have had! Their production of ‘A Midwife Crisis’ was performed in person to parents and carers in the Eadon Hall. It was so lovely to have a ‘real life’ audience after last year’s performances were filmed and put online to share.
The story is about a stressed-out midwife who heard of a special baby King that was due to be born in Bethlehem. We follow her (and her trusty sidekick Steve the donkey) on their journey as they look for a palace. The midwife meets lots of people along the way who help her to get to the birth on time. However, it soon turns out that not all Kings are born in palaces and even though the midwife misses the birth of the baby, she soon realises that it doesn’t matter.
Our Year 2 children shone in their roles as narrators and actors and our Year 1 children made an excellent dance troupe of Sheep, Stars and Angels. Well done to all involved for a wonderful production that certainly helped us to feel ready for the festive season.
