3M Young Innovators Challenge

Last Friday evening, three Fairfield pupils attended the Finals of the 3M Young Innovators Challenge at The Hub, Loughborough College. They were awarded their certificates by local MP, Nicky Morgan. There was a real feeling of tense anticipation in the auditorium as the results were read out. James and Nicholas were the overall winners of the Cargo Carrier competition, which is a terrific achievement as there were a huge number of entries. The judges were very impressed with their mathematical calculations and the design of their boat. In the Slo-Mo Marble Run Competition, Oliver was awarded a Highly Commended as his design and STEM learning were excellent. Well done to all the boys
