1964 Olympic Assembly

It was 5C’s turn to host an Olympic Assembly this week. The 1964 Games in Japan, the first held in Asia, were the first Games to be telecast internationally. The Games were famous in the UK for the music ‘Tokyo Melody’ composed by Helmut Zaccharias which was used by the BBC for its coverage of the Games. Unfortunately for Japan several big international events also took attention during the Olympics. Nothing was to overshadow 5C’s assembly however, they delivered their parts confidently and clearly, entertaining everbody.
