"I left Loughborough High with far more than a bunch of A Levels in my back pocket."

After uni, I returned to Leicestershire and spent a year studying Journalism as a post-grad at De Montfort University. Following that, I got my first job as a Features Writer at South West News Service, a press agency in Bristol where I wrote pieces for national newspapers and magazines. I then moved to London and freelanced for a number of real life magazines, such as Bella and That’s Life!, before accepting a job with Reveal magazine as a Celebrity Writer. I spent five years living in London and working at Reveal, latterly as their Deputy Celebrity Editor, where my job included interviewing celebrities, attending photoshoots, going to showbiz parties and attending film premieres. Seriously fun!

I then went freelance and relocated to Yorkshire with my husband where I continue to work as a freelance writer, writing for weekly and monthly magazines as well as online news websites. I’ve also had my first book published, The Year of Saying Yes. Writing a novel has been a dream of mine ever since my days at LHS, so it’s really exciting to see that dream come true.
