Celebrating culture and diversity at LHS and LGS!
Pupils at the High School and the Grammar School enjoyed learning more about each other’s backgrounds and celebrating the wonderful diversity which we have in our school community in Culture Week, which took place at LHS and Diversity Day, which was organised at LGS.
Students dressed up in cultural dress which represented the culture they identified with. The students also enjoyed delicious food sales at breaktime and listened and danced to music from around the world on the Quad. Year 7 boys at LGS also enjoyed activities such as Bollywood Dancing.
The pupils enjoyed sharing their heritage and learning about others.

Culture is a large part of identity and the widespread participation in this year’s Diversity Day shows Loughborough Grammar School has become a place where the students feel comfortable enough to represent their background. The traditional clothes we wear are much more than just material, they tell stories and pay homage to our respective backgrounds."
