Annabel Sarrafan (FFD 2000, LHS 2007) shares her memories of meeting the Queen
I remember being asked by Headmaster Mr Eadon and being so nervous but so excited at the opportunity.
I used to dance a lot, so Mr Eadon knew I had a good curtesy! I then went in to become Professional ballerina in America after leaving the High School in 2007.
I remember Miss Adams doing my hair in my Upper Prep form room for a newspaper photoshoot and having to go down to the Grammar School for rehearsals which I found terrifying!
I had a brand-new uniform, new shoes, a red ribbon for my hair and a fresh hair cut! On the day it chucked it down and I spent it under an umbrella in my raincoat!
The Queen said to me ‘I hear you have 3 sisters, and you are a fantastic dancer!’
It was a very special day which I’ll always remember.
