The Loughburians v The School Match – 27 March 2019

The teams met on a beautiful Spring day at Longcliffe Golf Club just outside Loughborough on the edge of the Charnwood Forest.

The conditions were perfect although the course was a little fiery and firm, due to the recent spells of unseasonably dry weather, this was very untypical for the time of year. However, the course looked beautiful as the early bluebells were just starting to make an appearance.

The standard of golf was good and after a close fought match, The Loughburians came out on top, 3 wins to 2, with the full results being as follows (The Loughburians team named first):

Nick Chappell and Steve Foister beat Rob Lightfoot and Dev Popat
Simon Cockbill and Rich Alexander beat Harry Towne and Harry Web-Jenkins
