Years 4, 5 & 6 Get Creative

Today has been very exciting for our older Prep children. We welcomed Billy Bob Buttons into School to talk to, and inspire, Years 4, 5 & 6 about their creative writing. Billy Bob is an award-winning, bestselling children’s author who has, to date, penned 16 books for children, including fantasy, adventure and comedy titles.

In 2014, his bestselling book ‘I think I murdered Miss’, won the UK people’s Book Prize and is due to be released as a film in 2020.

His creative writing workshops provided the children with hints and tips on the tricky topics of story planning and character development. Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed meeting an author and are now keen to use their newfound knowledge in their future creative writing.
