Director of Teaching and Learning
After studying Theology at Cambridge University I started my teaching career in Peterborough. I moved to Stamford High School for Girls where I initiated and developed its Independent Learning and Intellectual Curiosity programme. From there I joined Oakham School as their first ever Director of Teaching and Learning, leading on reforming their Lower School and implementing their Learning Habits ethos throughout the School. After a spell helping to launch a new Free School in Oakham, I took some time out to walk the 500 mile pilgrimage, the Camino de Santiago de Compostella. Now at Amherst, I am working to develop our knowledge based curriculum and cutting edge assessment and tracking policies. In my spare time I love reading, hiking and composing music on acoustic guitar.
